The new Mini Paceman Concept will be the first the first Sports Activity Coupé in the premium small segment of the market. The car will make it's debut at the Detroit Motor Show from the 11-23 January 2011. This car will become Mini's first coupe.
According to Marcus Syring, head of MINI exterior design:
“In contrast to the more vertical design of the MINI Countryman, we've given the MINI Paceman Concept a horizontal emphasis and accentuated the width of the car rather more to underline the powerful appearance of the study,”
The Paceman as accoriding to BMW, is the most powerful of the MINI range. The car has a 1.6 litre engine developing 155 kW (260 Nm) of torque. An overboost function makes the car go to 280 Nm. The car has 19 inch front wheels.
The Mini Paceman measures 4,110 millimetres in length, 1,789 millimetres in width and 1,541 millimetres in height. The date of release for the car is not available yet.
