According to Unicef, 6.9 million children under five died in 2011, comparing to 12 million in 1990. This is due to poor nations becoming richer.
The number of people dying in recent years has decreased over past 20 years.
The problem is that in developing countries mainly in Africa, is that they suffer from poverty, malaria, pneumonia and other causes. But now things are getting better in developing nations now.
Some of these people from developing nations have moeved to devoloped nations, such as the USA. One example was a Somali family that moved to the US, due to ongoing war in Somalia, according a BBC News video.
